A collection of 24 small, colorful, modern decorative objects, mostly made of concrete or similar material, arranged in a grid. Many objects incorporate flowers or plants, such as vases, planters, and geometric sculptures, with a pastel and muted color palette.

Polis

We were invited to participate as residents for FOAIR during the Spring of 2021 and Polis is the outcome of the residency. As an arts residency, we were left with many options of various media to explore, including architecture, but with the access of a kiln and our interest in the process of making ceramics, the choice became abundantly clear. The influence of our architectural heritage is evident but this exploration was more about the dialogue between pieces much more than the any individual piece in itself, hence the title we ended up with for this series. Expecting a child at the time of the residency added to our playful reading of architecture and the aggregation of architectural form became a study of the urbanity in between.
