We were invited to contribute our project, Digital Mobius, for A Purple Architecture, a collection of projects and writings from architects working at the nexus of real and virtual spaces.
Digital Mobius was our submission for a competition for a temporary pavilion as part of the Arquine 2020 MEXTRÓPOLI, the Architecture and City Festival.
Our proposal was a pavilion that occupied both physical and virtual space using augmented reality where visitors can experience and contribute their own content to the virtual stream of user data.
This project explored our notion of Negative Architecture that suggests that architecture, today, focuses primarily on the positive experience of architecture as object rather than designed as a space for subjective experience.
