Amagansett Studio

This small cottage, originally built as a private cottage by Lauren Bacall, now serves as the studio and sleeping quarters for the FOAIR (Further On Artists In Residence) program in Amagansett, NY. During our residency, we proposed modifying the sleeping loft to better accommodate visiting artists. The resulting addition of a monitor has increased the bedroom's usable space offering new expansive views of the beautifully landscaped property. This intervention brings in more natural light, enhancing the loft's comfort and functionality, while maintaining the cottage’s original charm. The project provides a serene, inspiring environment for artists to reflect and create.
